Job Summary
A Certified Welder Educator Supervisor is a welding professional who is certified by the American Welding Society (AWS) or adheres to the standards they set. The individual must possess a high level of skill, knowledge, and adherence to quality and safety protocols.
Curriculum and Instruction :
- Develop and Deliver Training : Create and implement comprehensive welding curricula that align with industry standards and educational objectives, including both classroom theory and hands-on practical training.
- Teach and Demonstrate : Provide engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training in various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
- Align with Standards : Ensure that the curriculum and instruction meet the standards of the American Welding Society (AWS) and other relevant industry codes (e.g., ASME, API).
- Stay Current : Keep up to date with the latest welding technologies, industry trends, and safety protocols to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to blueprints, specifications, and industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Conduct visual and, in some cases, non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure the integrity of welds.

Qualifications and Skills
A professional welding certification from the American Welding Society or Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS).

Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Education and Experience
Work Environment
This is primarily an office position, but it requires frequent work in the manufacturing and production facility. The production area is hot, dusty, and loud, with many moving parts. Due to these conditions, you must be cautious and constantly aware of your surroundings, as safety is always your responsibility.
Travel
Advanced notification given if needed, and would be no greater than 10% a year
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
