Position Summary :
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations across five locations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in payroll management, accounting, and human resources, coupled with expertise in payroll software systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely compensation, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering exceptional service to employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage the end-to-end payroll process to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees.Oversee payroll operations for multiple sites, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Analyze payroll data and generate detailed reports for management review.Supervise benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.Perform account reconciliations to confirm all payroll-related accounts are balanced.Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.Lead year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.Conduct regular audits of payroll processes and records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Collaborate with the human resources department to address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.Maintain payroll software systems and ensure accurate configuration for each site's requirements.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions in a professional and timely manner.Stay informed about regulatory changes and financial concepts impacting payroll practices.Train and mentor payroll staff to build a high-performance team environment.Supervisory Scope :
Site payroll administrators will report directly to their Site Functional Leaders with a dotted line to the Payroll Manager. Hiring and performance assessments will be a joint responsibility of the Payroll Manager and the Functional Leader.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 10 years of payroll experience within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of payroll systems, particularly UKG Pro.Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.Professional certification in payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC) is a plus.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :
Proficiency in processing payroll accurately and efficiently.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations and data entry.Strong analytical skills for interpreting payroll data and generating reports.Problem-solving ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees and management.Technical expertise in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, including tax regulations and wage-and-hour compliance.Basic understanding of accounting principles related to payroll processing and financial reporting.Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and influence others effectively.Benefits :
