Who We Are

Auris Noble specializes in the strategic management, recovery, and refining precious metals and rare earth materials generated across a diverse range of industries. Our proprietary recovery and refining processes maximize material value while supporting a more sustainable future through responsible recycling and resource reclamation.

As demand for fuel cells, hydrogen technologies, electrode assemblies, and renewable energy continues to grow, Auris Noble plays a critical role in supplying and recovering strategic materials essential to these industries. Through a combination of innovative engineering, specialized processing capabilities, and technical expertise in platinum group metals, we help our customers solve complex challenges while reducing environmental impact.

Position Overview

Auris Noble is seeking a highly motivated Chemical Process Engineer to lead the implementation of new manufacturing processes, startup of production equipment, and execution of capital improvement projects within our processing facilities.

This is a hands-on, on-site engineering role that bridges laboratory development, pilot-scale testing, and full-scale production implementation. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, analytical staff, and external contractors to bring new technologies and production lines from concept through commissioning while supporting ongoing production performance.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex process challenges, and has a passion for improving operational efficiency, process flow, workplace organization, and plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Development & Execution

  • Identify opportunities for new process implementation, capacity expansion, operational improvements, and production bottleneck elimination.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, equipment specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Manage projects from concept, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and operational handoff.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers.

New Process & Equipment Startup

  • Lead pilot-scale testing and scale-up activities to validate process performance.
  • Develop startup plans, operating procedures, process controls, and commissioning protocols.
  • Support the installation and startup of new processing equipment and production lines.
  • Troubleshoot process issues during commissioning and ramp-up phases.
  • Drive successful transition from development to stable production operation.

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide technical support to production personnel and department leadership.
  • Analyze plant performance data and identify opportunities to improve throughput, quality, recovery efficiency, yield, and operating costs.
  • Investigate process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause analyses and support reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations teams to optimize process flow and production effectiveness.

Lean Manufacturing & 5S Leadership

  • Champion 5S initiatives and workplace organization throughout the facility.
  • Improve material flow, process layout, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and eliminate waste while promoting standardization and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement programs focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure projects and process changes comply with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC, and applicable engineering standards.
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), and risk assessments.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure environmental stewardship throughout operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, metals processing, refining, or industrial operations preferred
  • Experience managing engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, laboratory, and leadership teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work hands-on in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with process scale-up, pilot plant operations, or commissioning activities.
  • Experience with continuous process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S methodologies.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment design, and process controls.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ASME, NEC, and NFPA regulations.
  • Experience supporting federally funded projects or grant programs.

Compensation & Benefits

At Auris Noble, we invest in our employees and provide opportunities to play a direct role in the growth of emerging clean-energy technologies.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Full 401(k) company match
  • Quarterly performance bonuses
  • Annual profit sharing program
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Planned annual plant shutdown
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Direct impact on strategic process development and facility expansion

Why Join Auris Noble?

This is a unique opportunity to engineer the future of precious metal recovery and renewable energy supply chains. You will have direct ownership of projects, influence facility growth, and lead the implementation of new technologies from concept through production while working with a team that values innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
