About the role

You will design, build and maintain Salesforce analytics for VA business users: CRM Analytics (formerly Einstein Analytics / Tableau CRM) apps and dashboards, plus native Salesforce reports and dashboards. You will work with VA product owners, business analysts and the wider Salesforce delivery team to turn program data into decision-ready views.

Code Alliance, LLC is an IT consulting firm delivering cloud, low-code (Salesforce, Pega, ServiceNow, Appian, Power Platform), data and BI, cybersecurity/ATO and DevOps services to federal and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build CRM Analytics (Einstein Analytics) apps, lenses, dashboards and datasets for VA stakeholders.
• Build data recipes and dataflows; manage data sync, connectors and dataset scheduling.
• Write SAQL and SOQL; apply security predicates and sharing inheritance to protect sensitive Veteran data.
• Create and maintain native Salesforce reports, report types, dashboards and dynamic dashboards.
• Develop Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs and Lightning Web Components that support analytics and business processes.
• Integrate Salesforce with VA and external systems through REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
• Optimize dashboard and query performance; troubleshoot data quality and refresh issues.
• Follow VA change control, Section 508 accessibility and security/ATO requirements; deploy through CI/CD (e.g., Copado, Gearset or SFDX).
• Gather reporting requirements from product owners and translate them into technical designs.
• Mentor junior developers and run code and design reviews.

Required qualifications (must-have)

1. Active VA badge/PIV card. Must be current at submission; candidates without one will not be considered
2. 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flows), 7+ years in IT overall.
3. 3+ years of CRM Analytics / Einstein Analytics development: apps, dashboards, datasets, recipes/dataflows, SAQL.
4. Advanced native Salesforce reporting: custom report types, joined and matrix reports, dashboards, dynamic dashboards, reporting snapshots.
5. Salesforce data security: sharing model, profiles and permission sets, row-level security predicates in CRM Analytics.
6. Integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs.
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or 4 additional years of equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

Strongly preferred

• Salesforce Platform Developer I (Platform Developer II a strong plus).
• Salesforce CRM Analytics and Einstein Discovery Consultant certification.
• Prior VA or other federal Salesforce program experience (Salesforce Government Cloud / Government Cloud Plus).
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools: Copado, Gearset, SFDX or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Einstein Discovery / predictive models and Prompt Builder or other Einstein AI features.
• Tableau, Power BI or other BI tools.
• Section 508 accessibility testing for dashboards.
• Health Cloud or case management experience.
• Agile/Scrum or SAFe experience; Salesforce Administrator certification.
