Job Title: Security Guard
The Security Officer is responsible for providing security to company employees, guests, and assets. Some of these responsibilities may include providing day-to-day support of access control, facility patrol and emergency management. Identifying, reporting and documenting incidents such as fire, theft, vandalism, safety violations, policy violations and illegal entry. Working closely with logistics in monitoring shipments against planned pick-ups and deliveries.

Employees must arrive on time, be ready to begin work at the start of their shift, and maintain consistent productivity throughout the day. Flexibility to support operational needs is important.

Physical Duties and Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
• Constant sitting while performing routine clerical tasks such as: email communication, documentation of temperature checks, paperwork, and checking in drivers, guests/visitors, and employees
• Constant standing and movement about an open area to validate parking arrangements, logs, and arrivals/departures
• Occasional bending and stopping in order to check fuel levels on reefers for accurate temperature checks
• Occasional ascension and descension of stairs to patrol the facility parameters and maintain a watchful eye
• Occasional climbing to properly close and lock reefer doors for accurate temperature checks
• Frequent lifting of reefer doors to verify status of the trailer and determine whether a load is present or the trailer is empty (25 lbs)
• Frequent pushing and pulling in order to secure and lock reefer doors (25 lbs)
• Employees are required to work outdoors and in variable/inclement weather environments that may be wet, humid, hot (80 – 90 degrees), and/or cold (30 – 40 degrees)
