Geospatial and Cloud Analytics (GCA) is seeking a SR level Network Engineer to join our team! Your role as a Senior Network Engineer will be to monitor and control the performance and status of network resources across multiple enclaves utilizing software and hardware tools; configure and install networking hardware / software replacements and upgrades; and work hand and hand with tenant agency engineers in support of building networking related projects. You will Identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting network performance.
Duties to include :
- Install, monitor, and perform remote diagnosis, configuration management, and technical support of switches and routers as well as analog and digital circuits for voice, data, and video systems.
- Troubleshoots networking issues and outages, which may occur during non-core hours.
- Conduct network and system performance monitoring, load balancing, and troubleshooting.
- Works with vendors in support of the client.
- Ensures all networking applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner.
- Performs preventative maintenance services on all devices within the networking area of responsibility.
- Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in data center as well as service provider.
