Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information and maintain general ledger by recording, verifying, and entering transactions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounted Principles (GAAP)
- Prepare analysis and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies, irregularities, and issues of non-compliance, alert Assistant Controller, as necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close.
- Ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors and assist with coordination of audits.
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures.
- Support and assist with budget and forecast activities, as necessary.
- Support and assist with accounting/finance-related systems implementations and upgrades.
- Protect organizations by maintaining confidentiality of all financial information.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting Leadership in a timely manner.
- Support and assist with any assignment, as requested.
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting processes and procedures to enhance process efficiencies.
- Drive best practices and continuous improvement.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Five (5) plus years related experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
- Experience with compliance and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedures.
