Neal R. Gross and Co. is a premier Court Reporting and Transcription services provider operating nationally. We serve a diverse clientele that includes local, state, and federal courts, the House of Representatives, the Department of Defense, and various private sector companies. We are actively seeking experienced Digital Court Reporters to accurately capture the verbatim record of Grand Jury Trials and other legal proceedings. This role offers flexibility with both remote and in-person assignments based on client needs. Depending on your availability, you can engage in a few jobs a month or up to 2-3 per week.

As an ideal candidate, you should be self-sufficient and equipped with the necessary tools and expertise to perform independently. PROVEN EXPERIENCE AND EQUIPMENT ARE REQUIRED .

Location : IN-PERSON - client sites in your local area.

Key Responsibilities :

• Capture clear and complete digital audio recordings of legal proceedings, including depositions, hearings, and meetings.
• Administer oaths and actively participate in legal proceedings.
• Monitor audio quality in real-time, taking notes and annotating the record with speaker IDs.
• Ensure a secure and organized record of proceedings while adhering to confidentiality standards.
• Timely upload and submit audio files and associated annotations through secure systems.
• Collaborate with scheduling and production teams for accurate and timely delivery of materials.
• Represent Neal R. Gross and Co. professionally in all proceedings and interactions.
• Engage with high-profile clients in federal and state government as well as the private sector.

This is a contract position with compensation based on experience, ranging from $25-45 / hour .
