Administrator, Career Technical Education (Cte)

The job of Administrator, Career Technical Education (Cte), is done for the purpose of administering, leading, and evaluating Career Technical Education programs, regional initiatives, and related services; developing and implementing short- and long-range plans for assigned Cte programs and initiatives; providing leadership and technical assistance in Cte curriculum and instruction, work-based learning, college and career readiness, apprenticeships, workforce development, regional labor-market alignment, compliance, assessment, student-support systems, grants, contracts, and continuous program improvement; and supervising assigned personnel and managing program resources to ensure effective, compliant, and equitable delivery of Cte services. The Administrator, Cte, serves as a member of the Cte leadership team and provides management-level leadership between program coordination and executive direction. The position leads systemwide and regional initiatives within an assigned portfolio, develops and manages program resources, supports the implementation of division priorities established by the Executive Director, and represents RCOE and Cte with educational, industry, workforce, labor, community, and governmental partners. This is designated as a Certificated Management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team and is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching, counseling, or related educational services experience and at least five (5) years of administrative or supervisory experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position in a K-12 public education setting. Experience administering or leading Career Technical Education, adult education, workforce development, work-based learning, apprenticeship, or closely related programs is highly desirable. Experience supervising personnel, managing budgets, developing or administering grants and contracts, leading professional learning, developing industry and community partnerships, and implementing regional or systemwide initiatives is highly desirable. Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university is required. Doctorate degree is desirable. Certificates/Credentials/Licenses: -Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential. A Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential or other credential and experience relevant to Cte is desirable. -Possession of a valid Administrative Services Credential appropriate for K-12 public school administration. -Valid California Driver's License.
