Metals Manufacturing Engineer

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes :

• At least one year of relevant Engineering work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience with manufacturing equipment and processes related to Metals and post processing
• Experience with Solidworks, Microsoft Office suite, and Microsoft Project
• Excellent technical writing
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Working knowledge of a variety of materials and mechanical designs
• Design for manufacturability
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and detail oriented

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred :

• Mechanical or Machining Engineering with at least two years of project work, design, and shop experience
• Machine shop and fabricating experience
• Experience with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Millsm Swiss Screw Machining, Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM), Stamping, and Laser cutting
• Understanding of manufacturing and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality systems
• Experience with software such as Solidworks,PowerMill, and MasterCAM
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software
• Leadership or project management experience
• Excellent organization, communication and documentation skills
• Experience in the medical device industry

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $75000 - $95000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in Californiabased on the date of this job posting.
