Position Summary :
Turnberry is looking for a Benefits Analyst to join our Corporate Human Resources team based in Aventura, FL. The Benefits Analyst will be a subject matter expert with robust experience in the execution of health, welfare, and wellness benefits programs.
You need to be highly proficient in all aspects of Benefits Administration, be customer service and detail oriented, and be highly proficient in Excel.
Responsibilities :
- Executes administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, employee assistance, retirement, and other plans.
- Monitor payroll allocations for employee benefits.
- Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations.
Ensures compliance of benefits administration with federal and state laws, including IRS and Department of Labor regulations.
- Ensures timely completion and submission of required reports, such as annual Form 5500. Provides information to consultants and auditors for testing and preparation of reports.
- Assist in overseeing benefit enrollment process and enrollment meetings to ensure employees receive accurate information and enrollments are completed on a timely basis.
Maintains employee benefits data in automated human resources information systems.
- Ensures necessary plan documents are in place and government-mandated disclosures, e.g. summary documents, are distributed to eligible employees.
- Researches and responds to complex questions from employees and leaders regarding interpretation of benefits plans, including eligibility, covered services and exclusions.
- As needed, investigates and resolves problems involving delivery of and payment for services by contacting health care professionals and other service providers, benefit plan providers, and employees.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum of five years experience in Benefits Administration, with knowledge of Section 125 regulations, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, IRS, and FLSA regulations
- Minimum of five years experience working in an HRIS system (such as UltiPro, ADP, or Workday)
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to research complex questions and conduct complex analysis of claims, etc.
- Customer service focused, have a passion for process improvement, be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Detail oriented; demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as strong data entry skills
