We are seeking highly motivated individuals to work in an autonomous teaming environment and provide timely, high quality, customer serviced based engineering solutions to challenging problems.

Facilities Design Engineering (FDE) provides timely, high quality, customer focused engineering solutions for facilities and infrastructure (F&I) projects.

FDE provides engineering oversight for the design of F&I projects and works on multidisciplinary design teams in support of projects that construct or upgrade training facilities and site infrastructure.

Engineers in FDE also work closely with subcontracted engineering and architectural firms as well as facility end users and operations engineering to develop integrated final designs for F&I projects.

The group also provides support of the bid and procurement process, engineering field support during construction, commissioning and project close out.

  • Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience;
  • or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience;
  • or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program;

or Currently or previously CRE qualified; or 6 years as SRE; or SRE qualified and 9 years of experience.Preferred SkillsExperience with the design, system selection and maintenance of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial applications Working knowledge of pressure systems, pressure system testing requirements and relief valve requirements.

Working knowledge of building automation systems.Working knowledge of the New York State Mechanical Codes, ASHRAE Fundamentals and ASME Standards.

Experience with the development of engineering documents (e.g., design drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and engineering analyses).

Strong interpersonal and teaming skills with the ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
