Molex is offering a highly visible role for a Lead Firmware Engineer. In this position, you will design leading-edge embedded firmware solutions for the data services industry, influence next generation active cable design in QSFP and OSFP platforms using innovative PHY chips in coordination with signal integrity designers and hardware engineers.

You will be evaluating, validating and / or designing real-time firmware. You will also work closely with our Hyperscale customers and marketing teams to understand the customer's application needs and translate them into best-in-class, innovative, quality solutions.

Our Team

Molex is looking for a Lead Firmware Engineer to support and develop Active cable designs for Hyperscalers. Our business is witnessing tremendous growth owing to the increasing need for cloud services and higher data transfer rates.

You will be working under leadership that has been setting and driving industry standards in data centers for more than 30 years.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelors in Electronics, Computer Science or similar
• Strong experience in C and C++
• Developing firmware for ARM Cortex M-Processors
• Strong work experience of serial protocols like I2C, SPI, MDIO, UART etc.
• Experience in integration & debugging complex systems
• Experience in developing Python scripts to support firmware loading and validation
• Experience in interfacing chips with APIs and implementing chip APIs in microcontrollers
• Experience in firmware version control using GitLab

What Will Put You Ahead

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Electronics, Computer Science or similar
• Experience with STM32 microcontroller
• Experience with optical pluggable modules like SFP or QSFP and CMIS
• Experience with hardware development and signal integrity
• Knowledge and experience of RTOS development
