Human Resources Coordinator

Beacon Hill has partnered with a technology company in downtown Chicago in hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to start immediately. This role is on-site 5 days a week and starts immediately. The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in delivering a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires. This position supports all HR operational processes related to employee onboarding, compliance, and personnel data management, ensuring a seamless transition for employees from offer acceptance through their first day and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage all aspects of the onboarding process, including employment paperwork, background checks, I-9 verification, and orientation scheduling.

Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing timely communication and guidance throughout the onboarding journey.

Partner with hiring managers, IT, and facilities to ensure all onboarding logistics (equipment, access, workspace setup) are completed prior to start dates.

Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS and ensure compliance with internal data integrity standards and federal / state regulations.

Create and distribute onboarding materials, welcome packets, and orientation agendas.

Support HR operations processes including personnel file maintenance, status changes, and offboarding documentation as needed.

Track and report onboarding metrics such as completion rates, new hire feedback, and process improvements.

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the employee experience and streamline HR workflows.

Provide general HR administrative support to the broader HR team as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

1+ years of experience in HR operations, onboarding, or a related administrative role.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; customer service mindset.

Experience using HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paylocity, or similar).

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
