School Secretary I
Reports To Principal Salary Level 7, Step 1 of the Secretary-Clerical Salary Schedule.
Hourly rate of pay : $20.67 or the annual equivalent of $40,.20
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Work Year : 12 Months Qualifications - High school graduation or equivalent.
Appropriate secretarial experience of a progressively responsible nature preferably in an educational system.

This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Performing Administrative Activities - Performing day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Organizational Ability - The ability and willingness to organize and utilize resources to achieve results.
Workflow Management - The ability and willingness to perform work within defined specifications and timelines and to manage conflicting priorities.
Stakeholder Relations - The ability and willingness to interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders (parents, community organizations, staff members, etc.).
Essential Job Functions :
1. Excellent typing, word processing and spreadsheet skills required.
2. Individual qualified to perform, assign, coordinate, anticipate and initiate all office procedures which are considerably complex and responsible.
3. Ability to exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in interpretation and implementation of rules and procedures.
4. Ability to perform arithmetic computations, prepare, maintain and monitor numerical documents, records, forms, etc.
5. Aptitude to establish, maintain and revise extensive files; perform research and retrieve information, demonstrates appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to analyze, recommend, or make independent decisions affecting clerical procedures.
7. Ability to perform related duties as required.
