A school campus on Bainbridge Island is actively recruiting a Substitute Paraprofessional who holds the required credentials and offers demonstrated classroom support expertise. The position supports student learning in dynamic, short-term assignments.

Responsibilities / Duties :

Assume paraprofessional duties on a substitute basis, assisting instructional staff when needed

Support students in small-group or individual settings to reinforce instructional content and enhance understanding

Aid in the preparation of learning materials, maintenance of classroom setups, and organization of student resources

Monitor student behavior and transitions; support non-instructional time supervision such as recess or lunch

Track student engagement and progress; provide detailed observations to classroom personnel

Adapt seamlessly across grade levels, subject areas and instructional styles

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

Required : test score of 455 or above, or Pearson assessment score of 220 or higher

AND either an AA degree or at least 72 quarter hours / 48 semester hours of college credit

Previous experience in a paraprofessional role is required

Effective communication, reliability and the ability to engage with diverse learners

Flexible availability and capacity to respond to day-to-day substitute assignments
