Network Administrator

Dexian has an immediate opportunity available for a Network Administrator who will be responsible for the management of all centralized network technologies for our premier aerospace customer.

This technology includes the various networking environments and all other technologies classified as a Networking technology, primarily Cisco, Juniper and Brocade.

The Network Administrator will :

• Provide technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity and establish and implement security requirements.
• Promote security awareness to mitigate security risks.
• Establish safeguards to protect information against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
• Confer with senior personnel, users, and outside vendors to discuss issues such as computer data access needs.
• Monitor information security reports to analyze current threats and ensure implementation of approved security measures.
• Identify and install patches, modified security files, control files and data access and correct errors.
• Manage user's system access to meet security requirements, performs risk assessments and tests information processing systems to ensure correct functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
• Implement hardware and software security measures for transmission and storage of information.
• Document computer security and emergency measures, policies, procedures, and tests.
• Oversee system monitoring using approved tools and processes to validate system health.
• Analyze system resource trends and gathers customer requirements for capacity planning.
• Validate backup and restore processes against requirements and recommends improvements as required.
• Define and maintain disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
• Actively participate in and validate the design of the delivery system to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with senior personnel on system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
• Ensure collection, verification, and reporting of IT infrastructure information across distributed systems and multiple support groups.
• Manage baseline configurations.
• Initiate change requests in accordance with established change procedures to assure compliance with baseline configuration.
• Plan and coordinate system changes by using standardized methods and procedures for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to improve day-to-day operations.
• Perform risk assessments to minimize change impact.
• Participates in root cause analysis and any follow-on corrective action.
• Lead, mentor and train others in the implementation of security and access management, change management processes and problem management.
• Act as mentor for Technical Support - to include Help Desk and Systems Administrators.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS :

• 3+ years' experience as a Network Support Technician (or similar role) in an enterprise environment supporting both classified and unclassified networks.
• Excellent administration level understanding of Operating systems
• Excellent level of skills in network and server security, configuration, and installation.
• Proven experience in a network administrator role.
• Hands on experience in networking, routing, and switching.
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
• Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
• Advance skill set for Networking : iSCSI, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, xGbe, NFS, CIFS
• Desired skill set for Tools : SolarWinds, NetIQ Sentinel, or similar.

This position requires an active Department of Defense security clearance at the Secret level for consideration ability to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from hire.

U.S. citizens ONLY are eligible for a security clearance and will be considered for this position.

EDUCATION :

• Minimum High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree desired.
• Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training.
• Active IAT Level-2 certification at time of hire or within 90 days of hire (recommend CompTIA Security+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)).

Compensation :

Dexian reasonably expects to offer $37.08 - $43.63 / hour for this position in addition to benefits to include Health, Vision and Dental insurance, matching 401k and generous time off.

• Submit / Pass a 10-year background check, criminal history, drug screening, and fingerprints.
• Valid driver's license / Real-ID with clean driver's history.

• Ability to research, resolve and complete tasks within pre-determined deadlines and schedules.
• Able to process work quickly and accurately - dealing with interruptions, changing timelines and priorities on a regular basis.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate details in a professional manner.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word programs.
• Working knowledge of app / database ticketing systems, ServiceNow a plus.
