Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Information Assurance (IA) Engineer to support the sustainment operations of a DoD enterprise application operating on ServiceNow.

This position will be located in Arlington, VA and will be a remote / hybrid position.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for managing the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to maintain the system's Authorization to Operate (ATO) in alignment with the DoD's Risk Management Framework (RMF) for an application running on ServiceNow.

The IA Engineer will be responsible for monitoring assessment software and maintaining the Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation.

In addition, the IA Engineer will coordinate with the team to conduct Quality Assurance testing to ensure the continued, smooth operations of the customer application through methods like User, Regression, and IV&V Testing.

  • Closely adheres to the DoD RMF process to maintain the systems' ATO
  • Participate / coordinate continuous monitoring as required
  • Maintain BoE documentation in support of the systems' ATO
  • Create and maintain Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) checklists
  • Support all internal and external assessments as required
  • Remain updated on industry best-practices, security guidelines, and new technologies

Qualifications

High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)

Qualifications :

  • Experience with keeping an information system compliant through security requirements and policies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the DoD's Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and documentation.
  • Strong communicative and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a technical, cross-functional team environmt
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 certified
  • Experience with running custom applications on the ServiceNow platform
  • Critical thinking, analysis, and resolution skills
  • Experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMass) or other compliance systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field of study.
  • 5+ years experience in Software Development supporting the DoD.
  • 5+ years experience in Information Assurance, cyber security, or similar field.
  • ServiceNow technical certification
  • 5+ years experience running a custom application on ServiceNow
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 certified
  • Clearance Required : Top Secret w / SCI
