The Program
Mallinckrodt is offering an 10-12-week internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals.
As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing.
Here, you will be able to apply what you have learned in the classroom to a corporate environment. In addition, our internship program is designed to include networking opportunities across the company, professional development workshops, and community service.

Summary of Position
The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist Intern will learn the regulations, standards, and guidance that support both pharmaceutical and medical devices manufacturing and quality systems.
This individual will support the Quality Assurance team at the Port Allen, LA manufacturing facility in a wide range of functions including document support, technical writing, and project management.
The QA Specialist Intern will also have a unique opportunity to work on continuous improvement projects to support the Port Allen, LA manufacturing facility’s transformation initiatives.
This includes learning lean manufacturing principles for improvement.
Responsibilities
Always Work in a safe manner
Become proficient in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
Become knowledgeable in lean manufacturing principles
Assist with at least 2 Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with Quality System elements such as investigations and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA)
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills :
High school diploma required
Pursuance of bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in self-leading a project
Experience in working in a team environment
Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Skills that will attribute to success : Time management, Technical writing, Computer applications,Organization, and Leading presentations.
Relationship with Others / Scope of Position
The QA Specialist Intern will work with various functions at the Port Allen, LA manufacturing facility including Site Quality, Quality Control, Manufacturing Operations, Materials Management, Maintenance / Metrology, and Administration.
The QA Specialist Intern can also work with other members of the global Quality organization.
