Entry Level Civil Engineer

This is a full-time in office position

SUMMARY : This position is responsible for coordinating resources and assessing project data for delivery of preliminary designs;

material take-offs; final designs; and shop drawings in accordance with client requirements, project specifications, and regulatory standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assists in project design and development activities based on customer requirements.
• Develops design documentations, technical specifications and other project related documentations as needed.
• Attends project meetings to discuss any issues and new design ideas.
• Works with Manager in developing project plan and schedule.
• Prepares design layouts and sketches according to company design standards.
• Stays abreast with latest developments in design technologies and techniques.
• Addresses design related queries and concerns in a timely manner.
• Assists team members and performs peer review of designs and plans.
• Works with design team in prioritizing, planning, and executing several projects efficiently.
• Reviews and recommends improvements to existing designs.
• Follows company policies and design standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Indirectly supervises CAD Operator(s) and Design Technicians within the engineering department(s).

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or two years or more of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, licenses, and registrations : EIT (preferred), PE (preferred)
• Computer skills required : Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Design Software (Vespa, NCMA, ReSSA, MSEW, Slide, L-Pile);
• Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint);

and CAD software (AutoCAD).

Other skills :

o Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

o Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and adequately answer customer’s questions.

Salary starts at $50K but will be BASED ON EXPERIENCE
