As an RTX Enterprise Common Classified (ECC) System Administrator you will collaborate and partner with a diverse cross-section of DT, Engineering, and Program Management teammates supporting RMD's programs across the Enterprise Wide Area Network (eWAN) to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
This role will involve supporting end-user facing systems (especially Linux systems), account maintenance, and security hardening of program resources.
This position is located in Tewksbury, MA, Tucson, AZ, or El Segundo, CA, with potential for domestic travel.

Please note that this position needs an active U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible for US Security Clearances.
Responsibilities :
Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
Strong experience with hybrid (virtual and on-premises) infrastructure and enterprise applications using Windows and Linux platforms (Windows Server, Active Directory, SAML, Virtualization, RHEL, Debian, etc.)
Strong skills and significant experience in enabling developer experience through CI / CD pipelines and automation including automating security and QA automation in CI / CD.
Experience implementing metrics, KPI and usage dashboards for continuous feedback in CI / CD.
Hands on cloud architecture experience with Cloud technology.
Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
Basic Qualifications :
Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or associate degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience is required.
Must have an active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.
S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."
Must have Linux experience and solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, or 9
Good understanding of security complaince technologies, e.g.MECM, SCCM, WSUS
Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a focus on testing OS and application patching to include Visual Studio, PuTTY, and Amazon Corretto
Preferred Qualifications :
RedHat certifications
Experience generating documentation / tooling aids
Ability to learn new skills and knowledge in a constantly changing environment
Working experience in Windows Desktop & Server
The ability to use automation tools or scripts through PowerShell or Ansible to rollout new software or patch updates

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
