Security Engineer - Security Clearance Required

Job Description :

The Security Engineer will be responsible for the following :

Responsibilities :

• Participate in system development and the Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) program.
• Performs security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and
• security code reviews.
• Develops and implements technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Conducts research to identify new attack vectors.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Serve as the Information Systems Security Officer

Required Experience :

• Experience with one or more of the following :
• Cloud engineering (preferably AWS)
• Cloud security (preferably AWS)
• Information system security
• Experience reviewing log events.
• Understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM), data and traffic encryption, audit logging, Defense-in-Depth, and Zero Trust concepts
• Strong understanding of how data flows through a system and the security relevant to data flow
• Proactive nature with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and drive

Preferred Experience :

• Cloud or security related certifications
• Experience with data parsing (scan results, log events, etc.)
• Self-starting, hands-on, detail-oriented, and / or critical-thinking qualities / skills.
• Written communication skills

Education : (Preferred)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

Clearance :

Must be US Citizen with Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
