Network Specialist- Commercial Activations

Overview

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Network Specialist to support the activation phase of the provisioning process within the DISA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize government supplied change management database(s) and tools to interpret, organize, manage, and activate network requirements for DISA customers.
  • Support the Activations phase of the Provisioning Process within DISA standards, specifically from a commercial lease standpoint.

Read and interpret Telecommunications Service Requests and Telecommunications Service Orders.

  • Work closely with vendors and contracting liaisons to ensure timely and accurate circuit delivery.
  • Establish and maintain communication with customers via phone and email. Coordinate between customers, vendors, and other DISA offices to troubleshoot and activate commercial circuits.
  • Update and maintain accurate circuit records in change management databases. Research and communicate service delivery delays.
  • Assist senior staff as required and ensure customer requirements and project milestones are met.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree and 4+ years in Information Technology is preferred
  • Must have an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with one or more of the following : technical writing, helpdesk, information gathering, and network troubleshooting.

Good customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following : DSF, WWOLS-R, MSS, ITSM ticketing software, Smartsheet, circuit path routing / networking is preferred
  • CompTIA Net+ Certification is desired
