OCT Consulting LLC is a boutique management and strategy consulting company that provides support to Federal Government clients.

We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition / Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT Consulting has grown significantly within the last 3 years and continues to grow. We are looking to bring onboard an intelligent, intellectually curious, organized, diligent, and detail- oriented Lead Data Analyst for a USAID project.

The project pertains to knowledge management, learning, data, and training and is critical for USAID to meet its mission objectives.

This position is contingent upon project award and funding.

Responsibilities and duties include :

  • Lead and conduct data analysis, mapping, and visualization for learning and knowledge management purposes
  • Oversee data collection systems; train staff on its use; and continually improve the platform
  • Conduct on-demand quantitative and qualitative analyses of monitoring system data internal performance management materials, external data sets, and agency-wide surveys and evaluations to provide context and inform potential program actions
  • Provide input to strategic planning, policy development, performance monitoring, and reporting
  • Champion, develop, and document open data best practices and USG requirements
  • Work with the client to produce guidance on performance analysis as part of annual review processes
  • Collaborates with geographically separated cross-functional teams from a remote environment to ensure project success

Requirements

4+ years of experience in data analysis in a social science setting, preferably in the international development sector.

  • 10+ years of total experience in data, quantitative, and qualitative analysis
  • Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytic skills and visualization skills
  • Prior experience leveraging various data and analytic tools and skills, such as Tableau and SQL, to pull data, clean it, analyze it, and organize it into a business story
  • Ability to propose analyses to conduct, suggest methods / approaches, and provide thought leadership in data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and effectively communicate research results to various audiences
  • Experience managing projects and staff in a complex environment
  • Experience with database development and management across a range of platforms
  • Knowledge of issues related to agriculture, food security, and resilience
  • Bachelors degree required, ideally in a quantitative field; Masters preferred

Ability to Commute / Relocate

The position is primarily off-site (remote) but may require several days per week at the Federal client site in Washington, DC or the DC metro area, as needed.

The position will also require the candidate to travel occasionally to conferences and events both around the United States and internationally.

Pay : $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience and education.
