The Opportunity :

Everyone knows security needs to be baked in to a system architecture, but you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface.

What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to design and build secure systems for the government? We’re looking for an architect who can create solutions for the government that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a Cybersecurity Architect on our project, you’ll lead the architecture and design efforts of innovative Cybersecurity solutions and service offerings to protect federal networks.

You’ll coordinate with dynamic team of thought leaders and experts to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions.

We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going.

You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and mission needs.

This is a chance to make a difference in the security of the government. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by leading Cybersecurity technologies and domains, including IoT and Cloud security, Automation and Orchestration (A&O), identify and access management, and machine learning.

You Have :

7+ years of experience with network detection and response solutions and network security

5+ years of experience with developing complex technical solutions for large captures

Experience as a Zero Trust Architect or in a cybersecurity role

Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and regulations.

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices

Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED and 13+ years of experience in cyber security, Associate's degree and 9+ years of experience in cyber security, or Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in cyber security

DoD 8570 IAT 2 certification

Nice If You Have :

Experience with identity and access management solutions, endpoint protection, analytics, or AI / ML

Possession of strong problem-solving and analytical skills

TS / SCI clearance

Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Zero Trust Architect (ZTA) certification

Clearance :

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;

Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
