Desktop Publisher / Production Coordinator
Small but busy daily, publication company in downtown Dallas is hiring a Desktop Publisher / Production Coordinator.
Deadline-driven, fast-paced AC / Apple environment.
Office hours : Monday-Thursday 8am to 4 : 30pm, and Friday 8 : 00 am to 2 : 00pm
Skills : Typing (40wpm), exceptional organization skills, active listening, learning with note taking, critical thinking, effective oral and written communication, quick learner, and adaptable.
Qualifications :
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and other page layout applications cush as Adobe InDesign and or QuarkXpress
- Outgoing, motivated, flexible, organized and able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize while working with daily deadlines
- Tech savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Typing 40 wpm
- MAC experience is a huge plus
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Use desktop publishing software to generate page layouts
- Prepare and format page layouts
- Download and sort PDF files for printing
- Daily delivery to post office
- Backup to answering phones and handling the customer???s needs
