What will be expected from me?

You will work as part of a Team to provide key data and intelligence to your colleagues, including those in the LeadershipTeam to support Wakefield Council Children & Young People Services.

You will support us in meeting our statutory requirements and our vision to deliver improved outcomes for Children & Young people by providing performance and intelligence reporting for Safeguarding Services, Early Help Service, Youth Justice Service and Education & Inclusion.

What I might be doing?

  • You will take a lead role in working with key colleagues within the service, developing and establishing timely, automated business intelligence reporting solutions to support Senior Leadership team decision making and promote a data driven culture.
  • You will be using reporting tools such as SQL and Power BI to generate data and service intelligence to support the effective delivery of Children and Young People Services.
  • You will support and assist in the achievement of operational objective of the Business Intelligence Team and in the wider context of the Children & Young People’s Directorate, and its partnerships.
  • You will support the development, continuity and effective use of business and service intelligence across the Children & Young People’s Directorate.

Essential requirements :

  • Degree or equivalent level experience in data science, analytics, statistics or related area or service improvement technique.
  • It is essential that candidates have experience in using business intelligence reporting tools such as SQL Server, SAP Business Objects to extract data.

With an advanced knowledge of MS excel and MS Power BI as well as having analytical experience and the ability to use information systems to develop intelligence.
