Desktop Support Technician

Immediate need for a talented Desktop Support Technician. This is a 06+ months Contract to hire opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Bedford, MA (Onsite).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience :

Looking for candidate who is an excellent communicator verbally and written. This is a customer facing position which requires at least 1 year of IT related experience.

Experience with Windows 11 and Apple MacOS is a plus.

This position is sitting at our Solutions Cafe (walk up Service Desk support) to assist with laptop hardware issues, software issues, network connectivity and laptop not booting type issues.

Candidate will be part of a two person team onsite at my customer.

• Is this position remote or in person? In person
• What will the primary day-to-day responsibilities entail for this person? Working directly with users to address computer issues related to software, hardware, etc.

They will be working at our walk up service desk called Solutions Café.

• It is a Service Desk model where users stop by, and we help them on the spot.
• Candidate should have windows 10 / 11 troubleshooting support experience; Apple Mac OS experience is a plus. They need the ability to solve laptop booting issues, hardware failure as well as network connection issues.
• What is the TOP 2 required skills that candidates must have? Communication and technical skills
• What will the work schedule be for this position? (M-F? 8-5? Overtime? Afterhours?) M-F 8-5
• Will there be OC (on call) or differentials? No
• How many overall years of experience should this person have? 2+
• Do they need any specific certifications or education? No but any certifications from Dell, HP, Apple, or A+ are a plus.
• If contract to hire what is the conversion rate? Contract only.
• How many miles per day will the contractor be driving? No driving
