Position Summary :

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Quality Tester (Automation and Manual) to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience performing testing, writing manual and automated test scripts, and working with Agile project teams to continuously release application software.

and must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties, in addition to the below, may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs.

Essential Job Functions :

• Design, execute and maintain automated test cases using Selenium-IDE, Selenium Web Driver, Selenium Grid in Java (3 years minimum)
• Automate test cases using TestNG, Junit and Cucumber QUnit, NUnit
• Analyze functional requirements / user stories and translate requirements into written test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform automated and manual testing (Quality Assurance) of complex software applications or IT systems in an Agile environment, including functional, regression, acceptance, accessibility and usability testing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive regression test suites and conduct thorough regression testing.
• Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Communicate with the end users and coordinate UAT efforts.
• Track defects using a formal bug tracking system and collaborate with the team and end-users to help resolve bugs / issues.
• Perform Compliance testing.
• Maintain effective daily communication with team members via stand-up meetings, documentation, and status reports.
• Provide frequent status updates on testing progress via formal Test Summary Reports, test data collection, project metrics, release documentation and customer meetings.

Minimum Required Qualifications :

• US Citizenship or legal permanent resident.
• Must be able to obtain and sustain a Public Trust clearance after employment.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, TFS, GIT or other continuous integration environments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Extensive knowledge of Automation Framework Design & Implementation using Selenium Web Driver, JAVA, Selenium Grid, Cucumber, and Maven.
• Knowledge of Object Oriented programming Concepts and Java skills
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Strong customer service / client facing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver high-quality results and customer services
• Ability to work well and collaborate with peers in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to multitask within tight deadlines; self-directed and results / goal oriented
• Personal drive to investigate new technologies and ability to articulate concepts and designs

Preferred Skills :

• ISTQB or other software testing certifications.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum, Kanban or related methodologies.
• Experience working with test automation tools such as Selenium.

Other :

• Work Location : McLean, VA Office. This role is hybrid and needs someone who can be onsite 4 to 6 times per month as needed
