You can find Diamond of California ® nuts sold in retailers nationwide. Position Overview : This position supervises the maintenance function to ensure prioritized projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring safety in the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities also include training, supervision and planning of maintenance work for the Stockton location. The maintenance supervisor will strive to assist in ensuring that quality, volume, service, and cost goals are met in the Maintenance Department.

  • Duties and Responsibilities : Drive walnut processing maintenance KPI’s and production OEE initiativesMaintain facility and walnut processing equipment to ensure production efficiencyPerforms preventive maintenance to limit unscheduled downtimeSupervises projects to completion ensuring accuracy and timely completionGenerate, assign, and close maintenance team work orders on a weekly basisCMMS reporting of parts inventory levels and employee metricsTrain, guide and supervise maintenance staff in repair of plant equipmentAssist as needed to maintain parts inventoryAdheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Regulations consistentlyWorks closely with and communicates regularly with Production Supervisors, Safety, Maintenance staff and other departmentsCommunicates regularly with and coordinates work of outside vendorsPerforms other duties as assigned by the department manager Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Maintenance requirements, resources, and processesGGood Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety RegulationsBasic supervisory practicesUnderstanding of equipment operation and pneumaticsBasic electrical knowledgeWelding skillsEffective English language literacy;

AA / EOE / M / F / D / V. Facilities MechanicPosition Overview : This position is responsible for maintenance repair and installation of processing equipment.

Candidate must have knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical system components for production processing.

This position will work in our Stockton, CA plant and report to the Maintenance Department. We operate under a Union environment working closing with Teamsters local 856.

Our workforce increases during the Walnut Harvest season from September to December. Duties and Responsibilities : Performing mechanical installation, equipment optimization, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.

Maintaining and repairing plant equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, schematics, and operation manuals.Maintaining and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical / control, and hydraulic system components for production areas.

Complete emergency repairs when necessary to offset downtime and production delays.Perform equipment change-overs when required.

Completes PM (preventive maintenance) work orders as assigned through CMMS system.Uses schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment or process related issues and problems.

Ensure documentation of work using CMMS (MP2) and complete work orders as assigned.Performs assigned jobs with minimum direction and supervision.

Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts and reassemble machines.Troubleshoot and repair machinery mechanically (hydraulic / pneumatic)Understanding of HVAC system operation and componentsGenerate and communicate detail parts lists for preventative and emergency repairs.

Understand Environmental policy and regulatory compliances for Wastewater, Storm water, HVAC and Hazardous waste.Complete root cause analysis and breakdown elimination on process systemsPerform all duties with required safety equipment and comply with all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, SOP’s, and company policies.

Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming and VFD drivesAbility to complete diagnostic and repair on 3 phase, Motor control and DC electronic systems Knowledge, Ability and Skills : Strong ability to understand diagrams, sketches and schematics.

Ability to follow ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment preferred.Knowledge of solid-state electronics including PLC’s,Applies Good Manufacturing Practices, SOP’s,Ability to work independentlyAbility to understand manufacturing processesExperience working on plumbing, HVAC, Boilers, Water treatment and Fire systemsCommunicates ideas clearly and articulately.

Demonstrated proficiency in all phases of machine work.Demonstrates a proficient understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Working understanding of a CMMS System.PLC and VFD troubleshooting experience.NFPA 70E Certified Minimum Requirements : 4 year’s experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing using the required skills aboveRequired to pass interview with Maintenance / Engineering / Production staff.

Required to pass practical electrical testRequired to work any shift and overtime as requiredRequired to lift up to 50 pounds frequentlyAA in Industrial Maintenance, electrical, mechanical, preferred.

Desired Skills : Food industry experience including knowledge of GMPKnowledge of and experience troubleshooting controls and electrical systems using wiring diagrams and test equipment.

Experience setting-up and calibrating electrical hardware.Ability to troubleshoot relays, switches, thermocouples, RTD’s, sensorsTraining programs in safetyHighly knowledgeable and skilled in repair and troubleshooting of process equipment.

Experience with basic Microsoft application (e.g., Word, Excel).5 -7 year work experience as an industrial maintenanceThree years of experience working in a production / manufacturing facility.

POSITION OVERVIEW : It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to coordinate raw materials, machinery, and staffing / crewing to provide the highest return of investment to Diamond Foods, Inc.

while achieving production department goals as outlined by the Director of Manufacturing and VP of Operations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Supervise the day-to-day workflow of production employees.

Minimize wasted resources (i.e. wasted materials, product, employee time, machine under-utilization)Assist in the forecasting and planning of workload for various areas of the production department.

Under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing provide equitable disciplinary program as specified according to the T & C.

Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct set-up and adjustments of machines.Maintain production schedules and estimate worker hour-requirements for completion of job assignment, including adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules.

Interpret safety policies / practices to employees, including enforcing safety regulations.Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job / work orders.

Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. May include suggesting changes in work conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of available resources.

Analyze and resolve work problems, and / or assist employees in solving work problems.Initiate and / or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.

Maintain time and production records.Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Assist in the training of various key-operating areas of the production facility.

Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS : Knowledge of GMP’s.Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, other supervisors, and management.

Knowledge of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). Ability to develop procedures that are simple and easy to follow. Ability to write reports, SOPs and procedure manuals.

Knowledge of SPC’s (Statistical Process Control).Ability to read and understand blueprints and diagrams.Ability to supervise multiple production employees.

Ability to work independently without immediate direction or supervision.Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.

Ability to multi task and can handle pressures and deadlines.Confident and conscientious individual with the desire to make a difference in the organization.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE : The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field.

A demonstrated experience in food manufacturing; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience is a large plus.
