What's a typical day as an IT Asset Specialist?
- Manage the hardware lifecycle management process, from purchasing / receiving to disposal
- Conduct physical inventories of IT assets in data centers
- Perform searches for equipment not found during inventory
- Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of inventory data
- Conduct research and data analysis of hardware assets
- Reconcile and resolve asset data discrepancies by liaising with appropriate stakeholders
- Update and maintain information in the asset repository in a timely manner
- Improve the quality of hardware data in the IT asset repository
- Coordinate disposal pickups and completion of associated processes and records
- Record, review and track asset maintenance support information
- Collaborate with Hardware Asset Management peers and key Data Center partners
Requirements :
- Proficiency with Excel
- Self-starter, dependable / reliable, work independently or in a team environment
- Detail-oriented, proactive and highly organized while prioritizing work and multi-tasking
- Experience with Hardware Asset Management in a Datacenter environment
