About the Role :

In this role, the Construction Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the successful buildout and remodel of 7 Leaves Cafe stores, from managing budgets and project deadlines to cultivating strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors while building upon existing networks.

Salary Range : $25 - $30 per hour (Non-Exempt)

Location : Huntington Beach, CA (Onsite)

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to develop project plans and construction timelines.
  • Coordinate project activities, including site inspections, meetings, and provide progress updates.
  • Ensure SDGC team is compliant with building regulations and safety standards.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Monitor project expenses and track budget allocations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain inventory of construction materials and track deliveries.
  • Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review and approve construction contracts and agreements.
  • Oversee subcontractors and assess vendor performance and adherence to contract terms.
  • Address any contractual issues or disputes that arise throughout the project.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure workmanship meets standards.
  • Coordinate inspections and quality checks to identify defects or deficiencies.
  • Implement corrective actions and improvements as needed.
  • Work alongside the Superintendent to enforce safety protocols / procedures for construction sites.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress, milestones, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Manage all project documentation, including contracts, permits, and budgets.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in construction project management preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Food and beverage, coffee and tea, or restaurant industry experience preferred

Physical Requirements :

  • Must have reliable car transportation
  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs at times
  • Must be willing to be on-call rotation schedule to address emergencies and troubleshoot issues at the jobsite
