Position Description :

Builds and deploys Restful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Spring Boot, Tomcat, and Angular. Maintains Web application functionality by employing Spring modules (IOC, MVC (REST), and Batch) and core components (Spring OAuth2 and Spring Security).

Programs software solutions that support client-facing channels using methods and features within Java 8 framework Lambda expressions, streams, and functional interfaces.

Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities :

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for / in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer / Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing, testing, and debugging highly scaled, secure Web applications, enterprise Web applications, and Microservices.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer / Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing, testing, and debugging highly scaled, secure Web applications, enterprise Web applications, and Microservices.

Skills and Knowledge :

Candidate must also possess :

Demonstrated Expertise ( u201CDE u201D) developing and deploying Web MVC applications according to Spring and Struts frameworks;

developing middle-tier action classes according to Spring frameworks; and maintaining web application functionality by employing Spring modules IOC, MVC (Rest), Spring Oauth2, and Spring Security.

DE developing high throughput, fault tolerant, concurrent batch processes and middle-tier Web services for solution enablement and management applications in a batch / event-based hybrid paradigm, using Java-Spring boot and JPA applications;

and scheduling batch aspects for bulk processing of real time communications, using Cron jobs and Python scripts.

• DE developing solution enablement and management applications with vertically aligned full stack stories by analyzing requirements according to Agile methodologies;
• expressing requirements in automation capable tests, using Test Driven Development (TDD) techniques, and Mockito or Junit;

and developing vertical stories across tiers data (Azure Cosmos DB, Oracle SQL, and SQL Server), application (Java and Spring) using Jira and Jira Align.

• DE mentoring throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) implementing and improving Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) declarative pipelines hybrid Cloud platforms (Azure and on-premise data centers) using Jenkins and uDeploy;
• performing source code and structures management (using git and Maven), scalable messaging management (using Azure Service Bus and ActiveMQ), and log aggregation (using Splunk);

and monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues of solution enablement and management applications, using AppDynamics / Dynatrace.
