Job Skills / Requirements

HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Sunstates Security is currently seeking Flex Security Officers to cover all shifts, including weekends, at sites located in Cary, Morrisville, Holly Springs and Durham areas of North Carolina. These positions offer a pay rate of $19.00 / hr - paid weekly .

Requirements :

• Prior security, military, LE, Corrections experience a PLUS!
• Must be able to conduct walking patrols
• Good driving history preferred
• A customer service professional with reception / lobby experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in report writing & CCTV equipment
• Physical security experience with access control software is preferred but not a requirement.
• Professional appearance & demeanor are critical to ensure proper representation of Corporate Security.
• Must be dependable, punctual, flexible, and always willing to take on extra shifts.
• Self-motivated, forward-thinking, and detail-oriented are important qualities due to the high level of activity within the department.

The chosen candidate would work Full-Time, Saturday and Sunday, on-call basis and be willing to accept not having a set schedule.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company's operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex :

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
