About Circular Services :

Circular Services is the largest privately held recycling and organics service provider in the U.S. It operates over 25 facilities serving major long-term municipal and commercial contracts. The mission of Circular Services is to keep valuable materials in circulation and minimize the cost and environmental impact of landfills. The company services municipal contracts with some of the largest and fastest growing cities in the U.S. including New York City, Austin, San Antonio, and Phoenix.

About the Role :

The Benefits / HRIS Coordinator will support the benefits function, as well act as a liaison between HR and payroll with the maintenance of the HRIS platform ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data management.

Responsibilities :

  • Acts as first level resource for employee questions regarding benefits, leave of absence, PTO, and other HR policies, etc. Escalates more complex issues to next level as necessary.
  • Works closely with team to ensure all benefits billing / reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and assist team with self-funding claims processing.
  • Collaborate closely with benefits broker and external vendors on benefits and leave of absence issues, etc.
  • Collaborates with Benefits team and payroll staff to identify system / workflow improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Assist with access and security within the HRIS and vendor systems
  • Conducts data analysis and generates reports to support HR decision-making and compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments within Human Resources
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Qualifications :

  • Associates degree or higher in related field or commensurate experience
  • At least 2 years of recent experience working in a similar role within an employer-sponsored benefits department
  • MS Office proficiency with intermediate Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Understanding of employer-sponsored benefits, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Experience with an HRIS system (ADP a plus)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Job Qualifications :

  • Bilingual (Spanish / English)
  • Detail oriented, problem solving with demonstrated data analysis skills
  • Working Conditions and Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • This role will be based out of our Austin, TX location with a hybrid schedule (at least 3 days in office)
