Essential Job Duties The Departmental Business Officer II is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Institute, including budgeting, invoicing, contract support, and procurement. In this role, you will ensure accurate and efficient management of financial processes and collaborate with the Director of Research Administration to maintain the Institute’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Management & Reporting :
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for all Institute projects in collaboration with the Director of Research Administration.
- Assist with the creation of budgets and financial documentation for new grant proposals.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to the Institute Director and leadership, including monthly and quarterly tracking.
Track financial activities across the Institute and address concerns or inquiries as needed.
Invoicing, Contracts & Compliance :
Coordinate with Contracts & Grants fiscal managers to ensure compliance with financial protocols.
Award & Project Coordination :
Track cost share requirements and maintain documentation as necessary by working closely with 3rd party cost share providers.
Procurement & Reconciliation :
Perform monthly reconciliation of all active projects to ensure compliance.
