Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking an experienced CAD Technician . Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail-oriented individual interested in joining our Site / Civil department in our Charlotte NC office, working with engineers, project managers, and other professionals. Applicant must be able to work in a fast paced environment, provide daily coordination with key staff, while assisting on multiple project designs. This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation of a residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. Work activities may include; grading, pipe networks, alignments, profiles, sections, and redline drafting for conceptual, preliminary, and final design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining AutoCAD Civil 3D engineering drawings that compile to create a set of permittable plans.
• Prepare designs from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams or schematics.
• Prepare working drawings from conceptual plan, development plan, final engineering documents and construction record drawings.
• Coordinate with other team members including engineers, managers, administrative staff and construction staff members.
