Group / Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLAs largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation Precision Motion Control Sensors & Image Acquisition Platform Design and Packaging Engineering among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel China India and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs but also subject matter expertise best practices roadmaps specialized facilities apparatus models and analytics. Job Description / Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

Bring your validated experience to build new algorithms for KLAs innovative inspection products. Help drive creative ideas implement proof of concepts productizing and evaluating new algorithms! By providing technical expertise you will be supporting other team members collaborators and customers. This is an opportunity to work on innovative problems where you will become an authority and indispensable within the KLA Algorithm team. Solidify your depth of knowledge while growing your scope of responsibilities to become a leader in the Computer Vision field.

Qualifications

• Academic experience required in development in Computer Vision
• Deep understanding of image processing and machine learning as they relate to computer vision is required
• Experience prototyping Algorithms using MATLAB or Python is required
• Very strong experience with C coding is highly preferred
• Full stack hands-on experience with data and backend infrastructure and front-end and user interface for algorithms is highly preferred
• Familiarity with any of the following is a plus : Generative AI CUDA / GPU Programming frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow or PyTorch) and Data Analysis and Visualization tools
• Great teammate with excellent problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated by practical experience in academic or work projects or internships.

What will differentiate you

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of innovative research in computer vision algorithms. Hands on experience solving computer vision challenges strong image processing fundamentals and an appreciation of complex image acquisition systems are highly desirable.

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Masters Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelors Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range : $100000.00 - $170000.00 Annually
