Overview
As a Lead Field Engineer, you’ll spearhead on-site implementation, maintenance, and technical leadership for High-End Systems (servers, storage, networking). Your role merges hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring smooth deployment and optimal performance of Dell’s high-end enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution :
- Plan and lead installation, configuration, and integration hardware and software at customer sites.
- Serve as the principal contact for all hardware-related issues and escalations.
Technical Troubleshooting & Support :
Customer Engagement & Communication :
Documentation & Process Improvement :
You will be successful in this role if you have :
Experience :
4-6+ years in field engineering or data center roles, preferably with Dell HES infrastructure.
Proven troubleshooting experience in server, storage, and networking hardware.
Technical Skills :
Expertise with Dell PowerEdge servers or similar servers, RAID controllers, SAN / NAS storage.
Networking knowledge.
Strong Linux / Unix administration
Certifications (Preferred but not required) : Dell Certifications, CompTIA Network+ / Server+.
Education : Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Willingness to travel to client sites.
