Education creates opportunities for students, helps develop lifelong skills, and enhances our society. At Macmillan Learning, we recognize the important role that educational content and technology play in supporting that. All that we do—from the pioneering products and learning materials we create for high school and college students, to the authors and creators we sign —is in service of ensuring that students of all abilities and backgrounds engage, learn and succeed. Our mission is to inspire what’s possible for every learner. We envision a world in which every learner succeeds. Through our content, tools, and services, we aim to make that a reality.

Intern with us Summer 2026, so you can Achieve More.

What will you be doing and learning?

As a Content Marketing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with a dynamic marketing team composed of designers, videographers, content creators, and demand-generation managers. You will collaborate with various team members to assist in social media content creation, content audits, campaign execution, and operational tasks.

This internship will provide exposure to multiple aspects of modern marketing, allowing you to develop practical skills in copywriting, video editing, and AEO/SEO strategy. You’ll work on real marketing projects and gain valuable insights into how strategic content drives engagement and business impact.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategy, reporting, and demand generation tasks to optimize brand visibility.

  • Conducting a comprehensive content audit to evaluate and improve existing assets.

  • Assisting with content updates like blogs, whitepapers, and case studies.

  • Creating visual and social media content in Adobe Express, including graphics for marketing initiatives.

  • Supporting copywriting and video editing for content creation using tools such as Descript and CapCut.

  • Managing email inboxes, organizing communication, and responding to inquiries.

  • Conducting marketing research projects to support strategic decision-making.

  • Helping with short-form video creation for social media campaigns and brand storytelling.

  • Assisting with special projects and administrative marketing tasks as needed.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • You must be enrolled in a degreed program (i.e. Bachelor’s, Master’s, etc.) *Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred*
  • We will accept applicants graduating from their degree in Spring 2026.
  • Recent graduates within the last 6 months will be considered.
  • Quick learner with a passion for marketing and brand experience.
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing, content creation, or campaign execution.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Express, video editing tools, or email marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace, or similar tools preferred.

This internship is eligible for remote participation, excluding the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Washington DC, Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, Nevada, South Dakota, Washington State, West Virginia, Wyoming.
