Your Role Responsibilities
Responsible for distributing documents (screenplays, literary material) to studio executives and clients via email and/or secure distribution systems. Responds to inquiries regarding project, coverage and submission status.
Reviews all written submissions (screenplays, novels, etc) submitted by the creative executives utilizing the department database; verifying if prior coverage exists and/or managing and entering in new coverage submissions in the department database.
Processes project submission assignments, keying into the story database project information and project deal memo/deal steps information. Maintains database information.
Monitors and maintains security for all screenplay and coverage requests which include watermarking, coding, and secure distribution.
Assists Story Director coordinating Weekend Read for the Creative Executives and Greenlight material distribution; duties include creating memos, proofing, and securely distributing materials to executives.
Maintain the Story archive by coordinating with Iron Mountain and updating logs and records tracking script requests, submissions, delivery calendars, and historical materials.
Maintains and monitors various department logs and records charting script requests and script delivery calendar.
Assists Story Director processing all unsolicited screenplay material (e.g. phone calls, emails, and physical letters/material) for the Feature Creative Group.
Makes photocopies and scans of reports, documents and other materials (i.e., scripts).
Orders supplies and handles book requests for Creative executives and Story Analysts in the department (through Office Depot or P-Card)
Assists Story Director in assembling and proofing material lists and writer representation information for WGA. This task can also include making calls directly to agencies, management companies, and law firms to verify representation information.
Composes memos and correspondence for supervisor’s review.
Performs other related duties for projects as assigned like lot runs.
Interact professionally with clients, talent, creative staff, representatives, WGA contacts, and executives across multiple divisions.
Qualifications & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous production experience preferred.
