Responsibilities:
As a Administrative Technician, you will serve as the welcoming face and administrative backbone of the center. You will split your time between engaging directly with community members and managing the vital data systems that keep our workforce programs running smoothly. This role requires a balance of genuine empathy for visitors and a sharp eye for detail behind the scenes.

Core Responsibilities:

Serve as a primary point of contact for individuals walking into the center or calling on the telephone. You will listen to their needs, explain available workforce programs, and guide them to the correct specialist or partner agency.

Input customer eligibility details, track service histories, and update case notes into official state and local database systems. Accuracy is vital, as these records ensure program funding and compliance.

Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, organize secure digital and paper files, and compile routine reports for the leadership team.

Learn about available training grants, child care assistance programs, and vocational services so you can help community members access the support they need.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
A degree focused on Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.

One to four years of experience in an office, data entry, or customer service environment.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable, but not required.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

Comfort using computers daily, including standard office tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. You should possess the ability to learn new database programs quickly.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
