Job Summary :

This role involves a comprehensive assessment and upgrade of an Oracle 19c multitenant database environment. Responsibilities include hardware refresh planning and execution, implementation of an Active Data Guard disaster recovery solution, upgrading Oracle Enterprise Manager, integrating with Active Directory, and reviewing existing backup / disaster recovery strategies. The successful candidate will deliver detailed technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with internal staff. Location :

N / A, California, United States Responsibilities : - Assess and document the existing Oracle 19c multitenant (CDB / PDB) database environment, configurations, and dependencies.

Inventory and record all hardware and software versions.
Plan, manage, and execute the hardware refresh for Oracle database servers, minimizing downtime during database migration.
Validate database integrity and performance post-migration and update documentation accordingly.
Design, implement, and document an Oracle Active Data Guard disaster recovery solution, including installation, configuration, switchover / failover procedures, and staff training.
Upgrade Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to version 24AI, performing pre-upgrade checks, backups, execution, and post-upgrade validation.
Integrate Oracle databases with Active Directory for centralized authentication, configuring network authentication protocols, and providing documentation and training.
Review and test current backup and disaster recovery strategies; apply Oracle security best practices (optional but recommended).
Deliver comprehensive technical documentation for all solutions and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with in-house staff.
Provide a final report summarizing activities, risks, and recommendations. Required Skills & Certifications : - Extensive experience with Oracle 19c multitenant databases (CDB / PDB).
Proven experience in database migration and hardware refresh projects.
Expertise in designing and implementing Oracle Active Data Guard solutions.
Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager administration and upgrades.
Strong understanding of Active Directory integration and network authentication protocols.
Excellent documentation and communication skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications : - Experience with Oracle security best practices.
Experience with Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.
Relevant Oracle certifications. Special Considerations :
