Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this DevOps - Application Deployments position. This position is a contract opportunity, which is expected to be Hybrid (out of Austin, TX area) for a duration of six months or greater.

Summary

The DevOps - Application Deployments position, will be responsible for the Identity and Biometric Solutions team, you will be part of the team delivering tailor-made solutions to state and local government agencies to issue official documents such as Driver's Licenses and Identification Cards.

The role will require strong technical skills and the successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and integrating applications and systems utilizing technologies including AWS, application servers, containers, Kubernetes, Databases and securing the communication.

The role will require the ability to troubleshoot integration issues, analyze problems on your own, and work collaboratively in a group environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS environment, and be comfortable with automation, writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, GitLab, PowerShell, and Python.

Key Areas of ResponsibilityManage multiple projects and work closely with the technical leader and the project team to meet the strict deadlines and expected level of ; as well as recommend and create automated processes to drive , configure and integrate different environments - Test, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production by working alongside a team of architects and software 's needs, and coordinate with IT, DBA, and other teams during system , installation procedures, and other system related

Qualified candidates would have the following :

Must have (CJIS) Clearance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and must be able to obtain post-hire clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the (CFIUS) and Department of Justice.

Minimum Qualifications -

The key here is a knowledge of deploying, troubleshooting, & administration. 5 years working in Cloud Architecture and implementation including Infrastructure as Code using TerraformBuilding and developing scalable CICD strategies using tools like Gitlab3 years of hands on experience with Kubernetes administration (EKS)Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issuesCapable of multi-tasking and addressing several topics concurrentlyProven willingness to adapt to new technologiesExcellent Team player with proven ability to accomplish goals through collaborationAbility to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity leveraging problem solving skills and a willingness to learn with only high-level directionPrior experience of clearly communicating technical information and concepts to different audiences in a variety of formats

Preferred QualificationsExperience in Software validation, integration, and data migrationsHands on experience with scripting languages such as Python or Linux ShellAbility and expertise in writing and executing SQL statementsApplication and infrastructure monitoring using DatadogProject management skills

Travel : RARE Travel to the customer site and interact with our customers during project implementation when needed.
