The Global Engineering Services - Sustainability and Automation (GESA) Team is in search of a proactive Technical Program Manager who is passionate about advancing Amazon's fleet of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and related technologies, enhancing our worldwide Fulfillment Center network.

In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting and leading various projects within the Customer Fulfillment Organization. We are looking for someone who can jump right in, help our high-performing team navigate complex dependencies, project timelines, and technical specifications.
You will be integrating advanced technologies on Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and AGVs, driving process improvement projects to enhance safety and efficiency in our operations. Successful candidates will be self-starters with strong Program Management backgrounds and a solid grasp of fulfillment center operations. Your ability to maintain technical detail while communicating strategic directions to non-technical stakeholders will be crucial.
Key responsibilities include :
- Technical Standards Management : Understand, educate, and enforce technical standards for AGV systems with both internal and external partners.
- Implementation Planning : Oversee AGV implementation plans in collaboration with Fulfillment Center resources and robotics vendors to deploy autonomous vehicle technologies.
- Stakeholder Advocacy : Act as an advocate for AGV development programs, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
- Process Improvement : Analyze AGV testing procedures and qualification protocols to streamline deployment efficiency.
- Subject Matter Expertise : Be the go-to expert for AGV development technologies, educating vendors on autonomous navigation guidelines and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Strategic Planning : Define a forward-looking strategy for AGV development, including technology roadmaps and integration plans.
- Cross-functional Coordination : Collaborate with various teams (Robotics, Operations, Safety, etc.) to ensure successful project implementation.
- Project Management : Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss changes and updates.
- Standard Work Development : Create and implement standard operating procedures.
- Risk Management : Identify and manage project risks effectively.
