As the EPM, you will coordinate the budgets and schedules for all engineering deliverables related to the Partner Agencys major programs, as well as monitoring, reporting, and forecasting deliverables for their assigned portfolio of projects within the Partner Agencys Capital and Annual Operating Plans. In this role the EPM may support Capital Programs of various agencies within the City of Chicago and its surrounding communities. Previous programs have included the City of Chicago Department of Transportation, its Board of Education, and the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program. The following responsibilities represent a partial list of typical functions:/pulliAdvance projects through established milestones, developing and implementing recovery plans for unanticipated delays./liliAssist with Client Capital Program by working with Design and Construction teams on work plans, project prioritization and the assessment of project feasibility and deliverability while supporting and fostering high levels of team performance./liliCollaborate with project team to retain the necessary internal and external resources, including appropriate professional services, to advance the assigned projects to conceptual/preliminary design or final design./liliConduct / participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the appropriate parties to ensure the project scope, schedule and budget are maintained./liliEstablish consistent work plans, budgets, business rules and project development for the successful delivery of Engineering projects./liliInteract with Client staff departments to establish agreements, force accounts and the like in support of project work./liliPrepare project status reports for supervisors, senior and executive staff on a periodic basis./liliTake the lead in establishing project risk parameters and developing the appropriate risk contingency plans./liliWork with Client staff to develop detailed project scope of work based on a statement of problem or a desired outcome. To join IEIs team and take on this role you will have the following qualifications:/pulliMinimum of 10 years experience in progressively more responsible positions in the development and delivery of Civil/Structural A/E projects./liliBachelors degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university./liliDemonstrated experience in program management, engineering design, and/or construction fields including establishment of plans, setting priorities, and incorporating facility requirements into project plans./liliDemonstrated experience working on large scale projects and/or large capital programs ($500MM+) from a Design and Construction aspects./liliDemonstrated knowledge of capital planning and assessment, procurement, project planning and development, and risk management protocols./liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal skills to build and manage client relationships, resolve conflict and solve problems to effectively communicate and convey information to various audiences./liliDemonstrate superior customer service, decision-making, and problem solving; and excellent interpersonal skills as this position is client facing./liliExtensive experience in managing and influencing diverse work groups, project teams and internal and external stakeholders, including Regulatory Agencies and public utilities./liliSubstantive knowledge of Oregon Department of Transportation and/or Washington Department of Transportation policies and procedures related to design criteria, management systems, and administration./liliSubstantive knowledge of project management scheduling, cost control, and scope/code compliance review procedures, change order process, along with knowledge of multidiscipline engineering and construction principles./li/ulh3Additional Skill Requirements:/h3pStrong analytical skills and attention to details/ppIntermediate to advance experience with Deltek VantagePoint or similar CRM system/ppTechnical Accounting skills/ppStrong financial reporting experience/ppDemonstrates Integrity and ethical decision making/ppAble to coordinate and lead Audits/ppPrepare and complete accurate financial statements/ppAble to create Budgets and Forecast/ppAble to analyze cost and profits/ppProficient in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)/ppStrong leadership and interpersonal skills/ppKnowledge and Skills/ppSolid Organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks./ppMust have reliable transportation and/or means of transportation to the office and project sites./ppGood verbal and written communication skills including technical writing./pp20-25% local travel to construction sites or event locations/ppAbility to work evening hours on occasion./ph3Licensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications:/h3pA valid drivers license is required./ppMust have the permanent use of an automobile that is properly insured./ppPMP Certification a plus./ppP.E.
