Job description
Insight Global is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in Department of Defense (DoD) projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a federal agency such as, but not limited to : NAVFAC, Army Corps of Engineers, Air Force, Marines, FBI, or CIA. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to obtain a secret clearance. This person will be joining a thriving company in the A&E space working as a design lead for Federal projects. Working within Civil3D and PCSWMM designing from scratch, redlining, and doing plans / calculations will be the majority of the day to day. In addition to that, this role will involve mentorship of junior engineers, participation in meetings, oversight of projects, and signing / sealing project documents.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a design engineer with DoD projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and PCSWMM.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Ideal candidates are located in Virginia Beach (VB), but flexible arrangements are possible for those with 10+ years of experience.
Experience operating in HEC-RAS
Military experience and / or background
