Job description

We are partnering with a leading financial services organization to identify a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong technical accounting and SEC reporting background who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and supporting high-profile financial reporting initiatives.

In this role, you'll play a key part in preparing internal and external financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and partnering with teams across Finance and the broader organization. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, strengthen reporting controls, and support automation initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables, including SEC filings, earnings materials, board reporting, and other executive presentations.

  • Ensure financial reporting complies with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and other applicable reporting standards.

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly internal management reporting and budget reporting.

  • Perform financial analysis and prepare ad hoc reports to support leadership decision-making.

  • Support the implementation of process improvements and reporting automation initiatives.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and support compliance with SOX requirements.

  • Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing supporting documentation and responding to audit requests.

  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and other business teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Research technical accounting matters and document conclusions as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • CPA designation required.

  • 3–4+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four or national accounting firm.

  • Strong experience with SEC reporting, financial statement preparation, and U.S. GAAP.

  • Excellent technical accounting research and documentation skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Experience

  • Corporate accounting or financial reporting experience within a public company.

  • Experience in financial services, capital markets, or broker-dealer environments.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.

  • Experience supporting reporting automation, process improvements, or AI-enabled finance initiatives.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a collaborative finance organization with exposure to executive leadership and high-impact reporting initiatives.

  • Work on a broad range of SEC reporting, technical accounting, and financial analysis projects.

  • Help improve reporting processes through automation and operational enhancements.

  • Opportunity to continue developing your technical accounting expertise while supporting a growing organization.

If you're a CPA with a strong SEC reporting background looking to take the next step in your career, we'd welcome the opportunity to have a confidential conversation.
