Essential Job Duties

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Supply Chain Operations, the Materials Handler is responsible for receiving and issuing of all supplies throughout the Hospital. Distributes medical supplies to nursing departments. Assists the department with issue processing, receiving, storeroom inventory, and mail services.

Qualifications

Experience/Training/Education:

• Knowledge of acute care materials management concepts and supplies, preferred.
• Knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies used in healthcare supply chain preferred, specifically 5S.
• Knowledgeable of inventory rotation methodology (specifically FIFO) required.
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) required.
• One (1) year healthcare supply distribution and/or healthcare warehouse experience, preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Valid / current California driver's license required.
