Job description
ON-SITE in TALLAHASSEE
A government agency is seeking a senior-level IT Business Planning Manager to drive strategic technology initiatives and align IT solutions with agency objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, organizational, and program management skills, with deep knowledge of state IT policies and public-sector environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Partner with leadership to define IT strategies and document business requirements.
Conduct gap analyses and plan integration of new technologies.
Assess IT proposals, develop business cases, and lead strategic planning sessions.
Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and system teams to evaluate current / future state processes.
Develop executive-level reports and support decision-making with actionable insights.
Requirements :
7+ years of IT / business experience, ideally in public-sector environments.
Proven background in strategic planning, project execution, and process optimization.
Familiarity with state rules (e.g., Rules 60GG-1 through 5, F.A.C.) and transportation technology is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred : Scrum Master certification.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with business process design, gap analysis, and change management.
Knowledge of Agile / project management practices and tools like Power BI, Visio, Excel.
Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and communicate complex technical info clearly.
